Neil Thompson-Burton



After leaving the Army in 1993, Neil started work as an Assistant Dog Warden in the New Forest where he progressed to the dizzy heights of Dog Warden before leaving in 2009 to set up his own Dog Warden company.  After working at a number of local authorities around the UK, he re-joined local government in 2013 as an Animal Welfare Officer at East Hampshire District Council where he is now a Senior Animal Welfare Officer and part of a multi award winning team.


As the current Chairman of the National Dog Warden Association, he has contributed to animal welfare related legislation in the UK and has organised training seminars for animal control colleagues in the UK and has carried out training for the Animal Welfare Service of the Republic of Malta and has twice attended the national training seminar of the Western Australian Rangers Association.


Neil is married and is owned by two Labradors, Bruno and Zara.
